AP622

Overview   Related Features

The AP622 was developed to meet the demanding requirements of WCDMA infrastructure equipment. This product is targeted at the pre-driver and driver stage in WCDMA base station and power amplifier boards and in the output stage for WCDMA repeaters. Developed using WJ Communications’ 28V InGaP HBT process, this device provides superior linearity performance, low operating current and high gain in flange mount package.

Similar to the AP60x product family, the AP622 features WJ’s patent pending active bias circuitry to compensate for any variation in temperature and current draw but also helps improve the linearity performance. The adjustable quiescent bias feature has also been included to enable designers to optimize the module for linearity, efficiency or a combination of the two parameters. The AP622 operates over 2110MHz to 2170MHz frequency range and has a compressed 1dB power of 35dBm. It is also able to operate over a wide supply voltage range of 24V to 32V.

The AP622 is housed in 13mm x 29mm x 4.1mm flange mount package that is RoHS compliant. The module is fully matched for 50W input and output which simplifies the design and PCB layout. As a “total and complete solution”, the AP622 not only eases manufacturability but also enables designers to “plug and play” it into their system designs. As a result this reduces time and resources required to implement it into WCDMA infrastructure equipment.
