RFID Demonstration of Graphical User Interface

These software programs are graphic user interfaces (GUIs) to demonstrate basic tag read functionality of the MPR Series PC Card products. These programs enable one to use the MPR Products to read tags and communicate with the reader. These programs are provided free of charge in "as is" condition. They are not for commercial use and are not intended for end-item applications. One version is for Windows PC, and the other is for Pocket PC operating systems.

Some of these are ZIP files that need to first be saved to your local computer, extracted and then installed. Right click the links below (titled: MPR Demo Installer and Windows Pocket PC Installer) to "Save Target As" to save the file to your local computer. Next you need to extract the ZIP file. Now open the extracted file and open the directories until you see the HTML Installer File. Open the HTML Installer File and follow the instructions:

• Read the End Users License Agreement (EULA)
• Install the MPR hardware if it is not yet installed and
• Install the PC Demo software.

Once this is done you should be able to open the MPR Demo program and run it using the MPR Hardware.

If your computer brings up a 'New Hardware Found' dialog box when you insert the MPR card, or the card fails to enumerate as a COM port, it is likely that you haven't loaded the hardware driver. You need to download the WJCI RFID .inf file to a local disk, and then search for it when prompted by the New Hardware wizard, as described in more detail in the MPR Windows PC Demo Installation Guide.

For all MPR Users

An updated MPR demonstration graphical user interface, also containing an updated DLL, is now posted below. The new demo supports the capabilities of firmware release 3.0 including:

• Class 1 inventory can use one of either of two modes, for a single tag in the field or a large number of tags.
• Capability is provided to write to Class 1, Class 0+, and Zuma tags. 
• Gen 2 commands are supported through the demo and snap-in.
